Strange stuff with my 20.1

Ok, I was installing my new system today (atomic ap/spl dual 1). I got everything hooked up and preceded to play some songs. First off, I was not impressed with the output. Then I relized I had NO voltage issues at all. My lights did not dim, my voltmeter on my dash didn't move an inch. I even turned the truck off and had no issues with current. The sub was wired properly (in parallel yeilding .5ohm in theory) I have stock electrical. I do have 1/0 power and ground for the amp but that is it. Everything else is stock! I know 20.1's are current hogs and there is no way I should be able to not have voltage issues. Something must be wrong somewere, I just don't know were. I double and triple checked the wired for the sub. Amp turns on fine, no issues at all. The sub was deffenlty louder and hit harder then my 8W7 did but I had more voltage issues with running my 8W7 then I have now.

Anyone have any idea's to what might cause this??? Massiveaudiocw is soposed to come over some time and see if he can figure it out but i'm not sure when we'll get together. I'm stumped to tell ya the truth. I would apprceate any input..

having a DMM>Me

I had a analog one but its busted, I can't get any type of reading out of it. I'll probably go and get 1 tomorrow sometime. I mean everything works, its just not having current/voltage problems is stumping me??????

Both the sub and the amp are in perfect working order, I never had an issue with the amp, and the sub was working before it was shipped, and worked fine for me today. Idk whats going on???

DMM should help track it down. Only other thing I could think of would be to recheck your power and ground connections to make sure they are decent if you messed with them in the new install. See if you can keep a steady 12+ volt at the amp with it wangin.

Do you have the sub output on your H/U all the way up? I usually forget to turn it back up after I disconnect the battery for some reason or the other, and it takes me a couple days to realize it.

Assuming everything is installed (various settings adjusted properly) right then I can't see needing to max out the HU's sub preout to get more than adequate bass from the setup described in the OP. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well I got a DMM this afternoon. I'm gonna set the gains in a little bit with it. I was messing around with it, tested the coil's on the sub, found out its dual 1.4 not dual 1. Not that big of a deal. Means I won't be drawing as much current, every little bit helps.
