Stoped for illegal tint??????????

how much are the tickets?..........legal tint looks sorta gay I think.... my friens girlf has illgle tint to is it worth the chance limo tint looks hella cool but im alywas on the street at like 3:00 am because i work at night and go chill afterwards

tickets were each 75 i think...but all tickets in illinois are cheap as hell compared to other states.....i think limo tint is the tackiest possible thing anyone can do to a car.....as for legal tint...its different in every state (illinois for example says none on the front windows unless its factory and factory is usualy 73) i really really like the look of 20% on a black car....i looks amazing, but its a ***** to see at night and forget off roading (if your talking about suvs/trucks).

a couple around here have 5% tint and they CANNOT see out of it at night, they have to crack both windows (even in like -30 below) to see out of the car to left/right at night, god that must **** lol

Originally posted by Geminidj2000 do any of u have illegal tints? i wanna get like a limo tint.... my friend has one and he hasnt gotten stoped yet .... the legal tint in colorado i belive is 30% how strict are cops with tint tickets and can they teccinacaly tow your car?
The only time I've seen it be an issue is when the officer pulls one over for something else, and the person does something to really get them irritated.

That night, the kid walked away with $850 worth of fines, including bumper too high, burned out taillight, modified exhaust, no seatbelts, and the window tint... all because he chose to be a dick to the wrong person... makes you think for a minute! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol i wish that were true around here... My friend got pulled over for his tint. This cop was going the opposite direction on a divided highway and just turned around and pulled him over for his tint. Nothing else, just his tint...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Another time a guy i know was driving on the interstate and a cop was going the other way and pulled across the median to pull him over for his tint. The cops around here must be anal retentive about these things...

Makes me wish I was blonde with big ti*s.. girls have all the luck.. a little pout and "I didn't know officer, it was like this when I got it".. blah blah..

But, Cops will jank you in a minute for tint in certain cars.. they figure you are trying to hide something (and most people are).. The best bet is to call your local cop shop and ask what the legal tint level is.. then don't go over it..

The reason they even have tint laws is because the cops can't see in when someone gets pulled over for something simple and the driver (passenger) has a gun.. I can totally understand that..

Most states (municipalities) have laws pertaining to driver/passenger windows and winshield.. most other windows are exempt.. *shrug* you just have to ask cops in your area, or call a free consultation laywer and ask..

Having a mini, I've been pulled over a couple of times in my day...most of which were for dragging (ie throwing sparks) but I have been pulled over for tint (flame tint) and if your nice, you'll just get a warning ticket...

I have 20% all around...and in NY you aren't allowed any tint I believe, I've had it for a little over a year, didn't get pulled over once, but I heard that they wanna start cracking down on it.
