Stolen systems

As i keep putting more and more money into my car, I think to my self.. "**** if someone steals this **** i would be bad as heil". When I park my car and go to class i always think im going to walk back to my car and see the glass broken out and everything gone.. Anyone else have these worries or had it happen?

One of my years in high school someone robbed pretty much everyone who had a system in the parking lot. I had my eq d2 amp in a friends talon just sitting in the back hatch and he had a huge box almost like a wall sitting on the back seats and everything was totally visible. Ran out to the lot after everyone in school started talking about it and everything was still there.

Ive left my.car unlocked 2 times in my own driveway at 2 different houses and both times someone stole my sub amp.

First time it was in the middle of the day and second time was during the night.

Never had anything else audio related stolen, just my sub amps.

both ,alarm and the have it insured , problem is ,most insurance companies either dont insure for over $1000 or they say you need a separate policy.now geico insures all my system for full retail .

I have a 99 cav, I think it is too old to have an alarm.. It didn't come with an alarm soo..

My insurance is already sky high, sometimes I turn the bass down I don't want people hearing it and knowing my car has subs, so they target it for a later day.

You can put an alarm on it. Also, id recommend putting one with a pager. So itll page you show you if someone messes with your car.

Rivet your entire system to your car. I'm willing to bet no one will ever steal it.

But in all honesty, having everything screwed in very well reduces the chance of it being stolen. A box being held in with a bungee cord or and amp being held by velcro is asking to be stolen.

Use odd screws/bolts, leave nothing visible and don't bang a couple minutes before you park somewhere.

My amprack is sec bolted to my rear seat frame. My box to the floor/trunk pan. Trunk popper disabled and the rear lock is disconnected. DD is bolted to the firewall.

I live in a very low crime area which helps. I'm just a little anal.
