stolen Hard dive....long shot but

if i called western digital...and someone was dumb enough to try to re-register the hard drive...is there anyway that they could catch the person who stole it. I know that seems crazy but my life was on that hard drive so im trying anything

If your car wasn't locked, why? Also the main reason I try/never put anything valuable in plain view of the car. But then again i'm crazy-cautious mofo.

if it is registered in your name and they try to RMA it under warranty you might have a chance, but otherwise your screwed

hopefully you made multiple backups like you should have

no, no backups, all my music, important files from school, pictures, etc... i almost threw up when i realized it was gone.

and no it wasnt locked...ive lived here 18 years now and between my mom my brother my dad and I we never lock our cars and nothings ever been taken
