You have a radio installation module kit, right? Please don't try to splice into the stock wires.
Yeah, first thing my installer guy did was we went up to Best Buy I think and they had generic adaptors that plugged into my Chrysler radio plug and had color coded wire=s that went to the plug for the back of my Alpine CDE-153BT, Installer guy installed a bunch of crimp on wire splicers and my new Alpine HU worked! :)

Get one, they rock!

That is the perfect spot to do that. OEM sub may interfere with the new one and cause cancellation.
