Steve Meade of CA vs. Beast from Da East...

There is a huge difference between meter vehicles and loud street vehicles... my brother and I attended an nSPL show in High Point and the loudest truck to the ear there was 3 dB down from his truck at the time... at this point it is now 5 dB down from his truck since my brother has raised his score. But... you could hear the "quieter" truck a mile away even though it only does ~145 dB on the meter. The more experienced guys in this thread already know this, but the urge to talk smack has overpowered them *laughs*

Anyhow... crazy loud street vehicles are pretty cool too, IMHO. Although, they get carried away with bling sometimes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But hey, if it is what the owner and/or sponsor wants, go for it.

wow, thanks for all that typing and you hit it "right on the head", so x's 3

dumb question, but it says your from brooklyn new york, how do you keep your car from being stolen?
obviously you get alot of showtime and it must be well known...
If he has any sense he starts by not telling lame-o's on the internet what his security measures are.

You should know that -- "don't ask don't tell" is a policy that you must abide by to keep your job.

LOL HOLY ****IN SHIT.

Just look through that thread, I've never seen so many hatin people in my life. Some of the comments in that thread make me crack up, the people on this forum are not only completely tasteless and boring... but definitley out of their ****in gourds.

Either way, without meters there's no really way to judge. You can use crowds to get an idea and if the crowd is leading towards one end it's pretty obvious who the winner will be. However, if this is taking place on the West Coast it's going to be biased... like all the ******* on here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

as it was mentioned, security is there and that's that. Yes, I will go to the West Coast and yes it maybe biased but I "hope" that fairness would come into play or the level of sportsmanship applies. Either way, whatever the outcome, it will a new experience.

Don't know if this has been said or not because im not reading this whole thread, but i think 95% of the people in car audio will rather have the ttruck thats louder to ear than the truck that meters better. This forum and a lot of others are only a SMALL percent of the people that actually have systems. Not everyone cares about going to shows to meter their car. They just want something thats loud.

Exactly, it's not only what equipment you decide to use, or even what you have planned out on paper. All-in-all it comes down to how it simply sounds to the ear, regardless of what class it is considered; SPL, SQL, SQ.

This is car audio, and if something bumps with clarity then it will be recognized. You can only take meters so far, who ****in gives a shit what a computer says. This is something that was made and developed for human senses, not a god ****ed computer. My problem though is how many people can badmouth a SHOW CAR. Honestly, how many of you actually been to car shows. If your answer is yes, I have been to many; then you obviously know what kind of gaudy *** shit you're in store for.

I'm seriously bewildered by all the commentary; you're all the mega kings and queens (mostly queens) of car audio. You know exactly what is considered cool or practical and what is considered absolutely "unnecessary." Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Although, unfortunately there's a difference between envy and personal beliefs.

Personally, my feeling is most of the bullshit being said is not only inhospitable but 100% malevolent. That's all it comes down to, none of you people know when to just shut your ****in mouths...one of these days all your nonsensical comments will lead to a nice sized ~ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

...karma is a complete ***** so use it wisely.
