Stereo opinions

Hello to all, yes i am a noob to this forum but not so much the stereo world. Anywayz here what i have, a 2004 ext. cab silverado. I recently bought a sealed downfire xscorpion box to go under the rear seat. I went with 2 12 jl 12w3v3's 4ohm with a memphis mcd1000 Mids are all Infinity front door is 63.9i and rear door is 462.9cfp and have a Memphis pr4.50, and the headunit is a kenwood ddx712. Got it all installed and i thought it sounded good but i thought it could be a lot better. so this is where i need some input

I am either going to raise the rear seat about an inch and make the box deeper and go with 2 jl 12w6v2's and put around 550 each to them or i am going to buy this box http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/2252 and go with 4 10's they would also be 10w6v2's, i would have to get one more mcd1000 amp but well worth it to me if it sounds awesome

Well i bought a box and yea i could have built one but unless i raised the seat before hand then i didnt loss anything by buying one! so to answer my question would a box like this http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/2252 with 4 10 w6v2's be worth the money????? I have a box i could build like that but i am not going to be able to had a lot of more air space to it but some.

Yea i know people arent going to suggest me buying a box, i really didnt want them too. I just wanted someone to tell me what to expect out of 4 10w6's in a box like the web address i posted above. Or what 2 w6's versus 2 w3's in a sealed downfire box under the rear seat. Just wanted some opinions

Anything in a pre-fabbed box is likely to ****. So we're not going to tell you much. No one here bothers with pre-fabbed boxes anymore. And you're going with the JL series without considering other things.

Basically, we're not going to give you much of an opinion when you have your mind set on either 4 JL subs in a prefab, or 2 JL subs in a prefab.

For one, was is the difference than a pre fab sealed box to fit my truck and a box that i build to fit my truck, both are sealed. Correct me if im wrong but unless its ported is it really going to matter that much.

2. I was wanting to raise the seat around a 1.5 and have a box like that that would hold 4 10's get a rough measurement off that box and build it taller and make the back of the box slim down to around 3 inches or so and go to the back of the cab.

If someone has a good box idea that would be alot better than a pre fab i am very interested in seeing but there isnt a whole lot of stereo systems on this forum that is just kind of plain like i have, instead they are all full blown fiberglass boxes and i like to keep my rear seat and keep everything hidden so i am kind of slim picking correct?

Yes and no, the only reason i am partial to jl is because thats what ive always had and i am always pleased with the quality and i like the small cu. ft. they need. What others would be compared to a w6?
