Steg or audison

Really need help to choosing over this 2 brand.

I am pairing with :

HS: Alpine 9853

Speaker: Focal Polyglass 165V2 ( going for active )

Woofer: Alpine Type R 12" ( give a 1ohm load for audsion and 2ohm for steg 2 channel;

Audison: LRX 1.400 ( 1ohm 900rms Mono ) and LRX 4.300 ( 4 x 65rms )

Steg: QM 220.2x ( 730 RMS @ 2ohm mono ) QM 75.4x ( 4 x 75rms )

Have some bad review over audison that their amp will be really hot when on 1 ohm load and seem overrated.

Audison will be cheaper over steg but i like the look of audison.

Hope some audio expert can guide me coz i gonna fix up either brand on sat.

in answer to your question i would use steg as they are big clean power and as long as you put in the correct modules and use good cable the sound is incredible i happen to know this personnelly as i have steg in my own car and it far surpasses anything comercially available in australia by 10 fold at least if you want to know more pm me and ill try and help

I am and have ran the AUdison LRx. I am very happy with the Audison amps. They make more than rated power, they are very clean and they will get warm. Don't know to many amps that don't get warm when running a 1ohm load especially a class A/B. There are some guys around here running some big power handling subs using the LRx 1.400 with no issues.

I have never used Steg but heard good things.

The Audisons are some of the best amps I have ever used and I feel they are one of the best amps made.IMO

Some other amps you might look at are ARC, Zed Audio w/burr brown upgrade, Genisis and Sinfoni.IMO

edit: just an opinion, i rather run a 2ohm system than a 1 ohm

why put such a nice amp on a type r? i could see a type X, or a mag or even Rl-p but a type r?

The Steg K2/02 just won an award from EISA for the best European mobile amplifier of 2007.

Who are you guys getting the Steg amps from in the US?

Btw, that install above is friggin beautiful. Any more pics?

Who is carrying Steg in the US. Has anyone priced the Steg stuff it appears you better have some deep, deep pockets if you plan on running the Steg. It is in the Sinfoni, Audison Thesis/VRx price range. How deep lets take a look. Most of us could run the Q Series and some of the K series. You can get the LRx cheaper and can go to the Audison VRx series for the price of the Q stuff if you get a good deal. Hopefully dealer prices are cheaper than what I have listed.

I am not knocking Steg but before people go crazy thinking they are going run out and stock up on Steg check the prices first. Just because you run a certain amp does not mean you are going to win a SQ comp.
