im not on either side but that was clean.. willis dropped his head at the last second and that's what caused the helmet to helmet.. he would have hit him in the numbers if willis didn't drop his head

this is true but i think he would of still caught him in the chin if he didnt drop his head a little. Either way it was bad for both players

yea i think what they mean by luck is the fact that neither guy was seriously injured from the collision. i dont see where it was luck in any other way. anyways im highly doubting that they could of scored twice anyways. and anyone know what the steelers record is when they are ahead by more than 11 points at any point in the game?

in all seriousness they really need to do something about that helmet to helmet hitting....its dangerous as all hell. at least both guys are all right.
It was shoulder first. Clean hit. Hard to adjust your body in the air anyways.

Also they were fired up after Troy had a pick 6.

I saw that schedule and honestly didn't give them 10 games. And I have been a die hard fan since 89 despite living in bores (Bears) country. All the teams in their division should have been better than they were, and the out of conference schedule was tough too. I give the Ravens the benefit of the doubt because they have not had a bye week since week 2.

Flacco sucks coooooock.
Flacco was decent. He only sucked against the Steelers. Now he can go the Derek Anderson route or the Big Ben route. I would say the Romo route, but he can't win the big one either. If Tomlin wins, he should retire. He will have too many players (Holmes) looking for big money.

And someone needs to tell Sweed to stop looking at T.O and Braylon Edwards tapes. He could have put the game out of reach way earlier.

tomlin should retire and give up the money himself? i doubt it lol. he should continue. look at alot of the steeler players that stay and could have left for more money. not many teams are like the steelers in that sence. one of the best franchises in football. and if they win this superbowl they will be argueably the best with 6 superbowl wins.

as for flaco he will be a good quarterback. he saw alot of heat yesterday. even most veteran quarterbacks would haved failed as well.

as for the sweed thing he is a rookie with not much playing time. not an excuse for the drop. that could very well of cost him his job in pittsburgh come next year but he did make some good blocks/plays throughout the game. i think with more time he will be a decent reciever. he has skills for sure but needs to watch the ball all the way and not take his eyes off of it. he will learn, its nerves.

I was kidding about the Tomlin/retire thing. He is a great replacement to Cowher. It's like he is humble in victory as well as defeat. He also realizes the importance of getting his players ready for the big games. When Parker and Mendenhall went down, he plugged in M Moore and did not lose a step. It will be hard to do better than what we have seen in the last 2 seasons.

I agree with you on Sweed. I was wondering why he wasn't getting time during the season. And he dropped a TD last week when Leftwich threw it to him. He will get better I'm sure.

On the money side of things, they paid Ben 100 mil, Ward's next move will be retirement. I think that happens within the next 2 seasons. Santonio will want the Randy Moss money. I think he's worth about 40-50 mil over 6 years. They have to improve the o-line too. Ben shows you with time and a little elusiveness, he can find people. They also have to keep the coaching staff in tact too. If LeBeau leaves, so does the D.

Wrong. The only players that have contracts coming up are a few on the offensive line. Which is fine as that is where they need better personnel anyway. They're getting better but they're still giving up too many sacks and hits on Ben. As far as Holmes is concerned, he doesn't have a case to ask for more money. At least not yet. He still drops too many passes and muffs too many punts. He's much better than he was but not to the point where contract renegotiations are in order.

They have at least another year if not 2 with the same cast they have now.
