What are some good pc games

Got a new laptop and wanna get a few cheapish games on from steam for it... any suggestions? I really like first person shooters and am not really into the whole fantasy type games. Something with good graphics would be good too... Right now i just have CS source

Team Fortress Classic is fun, but its old. You definitely won't be impressed with the graphics or sound effects.

Left 4 Dead! I never get tired of it, and right now it really only has ~4 hours of gameplay. It'll be even better when the new downloads come out.

It's still $50, though.

hardly ever gets old cause every online battle is different.

ive put in 320hours so far and have over 9000 kills.

if you like Counter Strike Source, then definitely pick up the Half life games (and portal too). They're all made in the same (source) engine.

I would recommend just getting the Orange box. Includes all of Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. Great buy.

And eventually pick up Half Life 1 (occasionally it's on sale for a buck)
