Hey i was just wondering if anyone else has a box made out of steel or any type of metal, i been working at a steel shop for the past year welding and we have a lot of extra steel and diamond plate left so im thinking baout building a box. any suggestions?

Think bell. That's what it will ring like. You would have to double wall it and fill the void between the walls with a deadener or expanding foam or some such. It will be heavier than just about anything but cement. Cement would make a better enclosure.

You can always just cover a wooden box with some diamond plate though. Give the idea that it's metal, yet don't have all the problems to deal with.

Al diamond plate does make for some nice trim though...

Ive seen a box somewhere that was covered with diamond plate. Looked ok but I dont remeber where I saw the pic. Might have been on here.
