JL has a new slim comming out in may..Clarion has a sweet slim 10" that rocks..

you could also look into illtion audio or however it is spelled..

if your looking to getin cheap.. eD10 slim i guess its on sale..

Yeah, there's also the pioneers, I think earthquake audio makes some. If you've got the cash, Critical Mass has one that has this cool inverted-motor design but they cost a fortune. I've heard a lot of recommendations for the Exiles and the Earthquakes though. I'd do some research into those two. From what i've heard, eD is pretty much going to crap but I could be misinformed.

The Exile that I installed in that Land Cruser was a big let down..

The Clarion out did that sub no problem..

I have no idea about the pioneer or Earthquak..

I hear you on eD its kinda hit & miss..

The JL Slim will be very nice.. We had the JL rep take us out the other day..

I took a look at some of the new stuff it was much better than I would have thought before.. Iv never been a big JL fan but They are creeping up my list..

Another thing you could try is some RE8's or somthing like that..

I installed 2 in my Ladies car and they wang like no other.. love the lil guys.. Im doing a Custom Box for (1) RE8 we shall see..

That's too bad about the Exile. I was actually looking to try those out at some point. The pioneers are supposed to be OK, but the Clarion beat them in a recent mashup in Car Audio and Electronics Magazine. I'm not much of a JL fan either. They make pretty good stuff, but their prices are outrageous. And generally, if you find one at a good price, it's used or online, so no warranty. Rockford Fosgate just came out with a new slim-mount, but no word on the quality yet. If I were going to get 8s, I'd grab some Ascendant Audio Assassins. The old line was very well recieved, and now they have Scott Atwell (RE founder, Fi founder) designing with them, so the new lines that are coming out soon should be awesome.

That's right. I forgot about the Kicker CVTs. And i was just looking at them the other day, lol. Midterm week has not been good to my short-term memory.
