People who use 91 octane generally NEED it for their cars to run. My car requires premium...i don't use it because I want to feel cool. The previous owner put regular and the engine ended up knocking (ie dead) and I bought the car and put a new engine in myself. If some gas stations do this I'd be pissed, but I have a feeling rumors like this are made by people who have too much time on their hands

You won't damage the engine of any normal street vehicle by not using high octane; the only think that would occur is a lack of performance and decrease in fuel economy.

my mechanic told me alot of them tell the semi drivers to fill the premium tanks under ground with regular..and sell it has premium..

That can happen in any independantly owned station on a regular basis, especially where the state doesn't inspect very often.

Now if you said to stay away from Citgo because it supports Hugo Chavez, who is not in anyway our looking out for our best inrests, and would actually like to see us fall. That would make for a better argument

Unless you have a 93 octane tune and it disables the Ford "auto correction" that would normally compensate for shitty gas.

I havent had any problems with Road Ranger or Shell (Flying J) Gas though, and I would know cause my car would start pinging like mad.

nah man we dont do it at ours. its not worth the risk. if we get caught we would be in trouble.shit 95% of what we sell is regular anyways.
