Static From Tweeters

I have a Kenwood head unit with stock Front Speakers in a 96 Toyota Camry. It comes stock with tweeters in the arm rest but ever since I had the deck installed the tweeters have been making static with no sound. Anyone know what could cause this or how to fix it?

are the tweeters passively crossed or was that in the factory head unit?

They are hooked up directly to the Front Speakers, and the car amp is bypassed so I am not using the factory wiring.
