Really? Around here when you turn 17 your restricted license turns into a regular license, or after you have had your restricted for a year, whichever comes first. But yeah man i feel ya, most places want 1500+ for liability only. Full coverage would be more than i make in a year, lmao.
Yeah I live in south Dakota so I got my license when I was 14. I had to have a permit to drive with my parents for like 3 months and then I got my restricted. Was supposed to get my regular license when I was 16 but I had to be 3 months without a ticket and I couldnt go 3 months without one. I was such a idiot. Then I got it suspended for another 3 months after I got my driving while suspended ticket but the others I got that night didn't affect my insurance luckily. I just got my license back like 4 months ago. S,ucked having to get rides everywhere when I have my own car.
Well it was just weed and it was my first time ever getting into trouble for anything. So all I had to do was take drug classes and it was all good and then pay a fine for my other stuff. Lol the only reason I got caught was cuz it was a sobriety checkpoint and they smelled it. I never had a problem and still don't thank you very much. Lol! But the cop said I was resisting cuz I kept trying to turn around. It was funny as heck though.
Be sure to get a quote from progressive. I have a a bad driving record (wreckless driving and 3 claims over 3k) cand ws paying allstate 185 a month. I got a few quotes and progressive was $55 with geico being in second place at $120 a month.
Considering what you're shelling out for car insurance, a good lawyer would have been a bargain in retrospect.
problem with those cheap company's is when you really need them you get **** for service out of them, I have used travelers for years, when i wrecked my ls 10 yrs ago they apologized to me as the gave me the amount of money they were going to give to me saying they hope this isnt an insult, but this is all we can give your which was 4700 more then what i payed for the car.
If you were in oklahoma, I could get you insured for far cheaper than state farm or geico (most of the time). I hear stories like that all the time from my customers.
