Well for those of you who do not know, I used to be an installer at Circuit City, for over 2 years. About 6 months ago, I was involved in a car accident, and due to my injuries, I was not able to work for over 6 months. I have since left Circuit City, and have been without a job for a little while (my car insurance company covered all of my lost wages for those ~6 months).
This weekend I started a new job, working with Frito Lay. Basically, I drive to local stores, and pack out Frito Lay products. I started at $11.25, plus I get $.49/mile I drive. I'm only working 3 days/week for the time being, but I put in over 200 miles of driving for those days, so it works out pretty well.
Anyway, this job is pretty cool after 2 days. Only time I have to go to the main offices are to pick up my paychecks. If I'm scheduled to work at say 9am, I can get there within a few hours after that, as long as I get there in a reasonable time. I fill out my own timesheet, and my own mile records, so it's pretty cool. I can wear whatever I want, and don't have to deal with ANYONE. After working in retail for 5+ years, I'm so glad I don't have to deal with douchebags anymore.
