The ceiling was falling in at the one by my house. It reeked of mildew.

They own most of the Bennigan's and Steak and Ale locations, and only those will be shutting down. Starbucks is in full bloom here in north Texas, where Metromedia is based. Plano to be specific. What pisses me off, is the fact that the 29 Degrees Tavern is going under, too. 29 Degrees serves every beer at 29*, and they serve it with a thermometer. They also have one hell of a selection, and their prices are actually decent. They carried a partial Bennigan's menu, but I just liked the, literally, ice-cold beer.

Starbucks is a separate incident, and they closed down 600 of their unprofitable locations, which leaves them with a 6,500 stores in the U.S.... Hardly out of business.
