So if you have never seen any of the star wars movies, like me.... then you would start with the new 6 because they are before the older ones???

and yes there are only 6 total. at least if you're talking about the main ones. there are numerous books and cartoons that go a little more in depth.

watch them in the order of 1 2 3 4 5 6 if you truely want to understand whats going on

i liked revenge of the sith myself. the other 2.......they are ok, but they fill in the gaps.

It really doesn't matter if you watch them 4,5,6-1,2,3 or 1-6...you'll follow the story just fine.

If someone had never seen them before and asked me what order to watch, I'd tell them to watch the originals first to get the idea of how great 4,5, & 6 are compared to the new ones.

Check out Yoda with the lightsaber in episode 2 and 3. Hes one tough badass.

Watch them in order. When you go get a book, do you start in the middle if you've never read it before?

In literature, this is common....it's called in media res.

Typically, the story will start in the middle...then a flashback that leads to the middle, and then the end.

exactly, why would he watch them out of order? you should start with the first one, then go to the end. The first one, being the first one that was made. If they were meant to be watched in order from episode 1 to episode 6, they would've been put out that way.

again, i would want to watch them from 1-6 to get the whole story and back story. yes episodes 1 and 2 are not the best but they are still worth watching and have plenty of good action in them.
