I work at Staples as one of their computer techs and the job is gay. Staples doesnt make a dime when they sell computers. They actually lose around 150-200 bucks for every computer they sell. So they pressure us into selling overpriced accessories and service plans.

We had two people come in last week wanting to buy laptops and nothing else. No plans or accessories. Our manager told us to find a way to get them to leave because she wasn't going to sell them the computers unless they bought the extras. I couldnt believe how fucked up staples is to do such a thing.

Im considering quitting due to how fucked up their business model is and how lame the job is. "Staples, that was easy" my ***.

Hah. Yeah it was great. We had only 2 laptops left for one of the guys. My manager told us to stall the dude while she "looked" for it. We had one left but she told the guy it was an open box and she didnt feel comfortable selling it. He ended up walking away mad.

The other couple I felt bad for. They were some japanese couple who spoke bad english. They brought in an old laptop to do a trade in to get credit towards a new one. These two came in literally 10 minutes after the other dude left. They didnt want any accessories or programs so my manager told us to find a way to turn them away. We ended up making some bs excuse on how we can only accept "english copies of windows". Which is bs because Im quite sure there is no difference other than installed language packs. I felt bad and they eventually left.

Plus the job is gay in general. Its boring running endless diaganostic software and then being told "what the heck" when asked why I didnt mention our service plans to someone on the phone when all they were calling about is whether or not we have a monitor in stock.

i work for walmart bro and its bad as well. im off for thanksgiving its my normal day off and they want me to work . our manger dont understand people have issues and he is a di ck when it comes to helping our shopers lol. i wana drop down to partime and this guy will not let me . so yesterday i just went on a rant and it got me some where. mayb u can change your job in the building.

bro they where like EVERYONE HAS TO WORK. i said to the manger yesterday hey we need to talk and he goes well ummm i said we need to talk. so i started to talk lol i said im off for thanksgiving its my off day im off thursdays and sundays and i will not b able to make it in. so he goes fine then i said u know how i asked about goin down to part time and and he goes yea give me to the end of thanksgiving. i said i have some issues and im starting a day program tuesday's and friday to get the help i need. he goes ok i will have to look over your hours and days i would need you to work. its all good i guess you have to b a di ck to get what ya want. just dont use words like i dont need this job or anything that sounds like u dont want the job and all will b good.
