Best team in the league for 10 years+ running lets us. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
He does have a point SLAMMED. How many "President's Trophies" do the Penguins have?? I realize the Wings haven't made the Stanley Finals every year but 4 times in the last 11 years isn't too bad. Oh and by the way, the last 3 times the Red Wings have reached the Stanley Cup Finals they've won ALL 3 of them. In fact in those 3 finals appearances they're 12 - 1.

In other words, they will NOT be denied.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

the nj devils SHOULD OF MADE IT BUT NOOOO THEY LIKE TO BLOW BIG NUTS but iam gonna have to go with pittsburgh. even though zetterberg is a beast and there dominant and they will probably win... its nice to go for the underdogs =P

The game starts at 8 ET this evening.
Before the start of the series, I predicted Wings in 6. I felt that Turco was playing too well and his supporting cast was good enough to avoid getting swept by the Wings and that Dallas would win at least one game at home. Then the Wings went up 3-0 and I couldn't help but wonder what happened to the Dallas team I saw at the end of the regular season and in the first two rounds. Now they are playing up to snuff, but I still believe the Wings will beat them either tonight or at home in game 7.

I'd like to see a Wings vs. Pens final because I think they have been the best in their respective conferences for the last couple of months. Still, I am always up for a dark horse like the Stars. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hey smart guy...that post was about game 6 between Dallas and Detroit.

Anyways....

The NHL's scheduling is just dumb. I don't know why they do these lame breaks between rounds...it really kills some of the momentum. And they wonder why viewership is low in the US....

Regardless, I think this is a tough series to call. I normally value experience ahead of skill in the playoffs (thus favouring the Wings), but the Penguins are a passionate and skillful team that can challenge any team in the league. Keep in mind that Detroit's top 3 scorers are an interesting bunch: Franzen is suffering from post-concussion syndrome (although they won't admit he received a concussion), while Zetterberg and Datsyuk have spotty playoff history's until this year. Still, I'm going to take a big risk and say Wings in 6.

Wings in 6. I agree with whoever said if it goes to 7 the Penguins will take it though.
Why is it that everyone is thinking that? I mean the Red Wings can last just as long as any other team. They do have some veterans but I just don't see how Pitt will outlast them if it goes 7. Not only that does everyone know that if it goes 7 then GAME 7 will be in DETROIT??? And other than 1 game against Dallas the Wings have NOT lost at home.

I remember I was watching one of the Pens-Rangers games and the announcers claimed that the Pens had some of the most loyal fans in the league..I think I pissed myself laughing...the most loyal fans in the league that didn't show up to any games, to the point that the team was on the brink of leaving Pittsburgh...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
