st.louis ordinance withdrawn!!!

Yup, what are they gonna do next...take your house for a noise violation?
Exactly, give up an inch, they take a foot. Give up a foot they take yard........etc. So many people don't realize thats how stuff like rights are taken away without anyone realizing it til its too late. They take things away little by little so they can do it "under the table" so to speak. Not trying to sound like a radical on a soap box but I believe thats what they're trying to accomplish.

Now if you get caught rolling through residential areas blasting your music at 2 in the morning, I think you should get a good sized fine.
Yes, I agree on this part all the way. A fine would work. Don't pay the fine and get your license suspended. Get pulled over with a suspeneded license then by all means you go to jail. Driving by people's houses at night pounding your music is stupid and disrespectful and should be dealt with on a case by case basis. This law would have taken away the "case by case basis" and would have punished anyone that wanted a nice system.

i wish it woulda passed full force to be quite honest. the mayor of stl stated he would make it for only residential areas, and no real retstricted equipment. I wish it woulda passed.
St.Louis already has a noise ordinance thats been in affect for a long time, 250 dollar fine for reasonably loud stereos...

But I agree, people need to learn volume control, it'll **** to have a few morons ruin it for the rest of us.
