i have a fosgate 1001bd, and there is a subsonic filter switch. its either off or on. i am about to have to different ported box i will be switching betwee. is that okay for a ported box? dont i need to set it to a certain frequency?

also, if i have 2 subs, and want to invert one, do i have to use the phase switch, or do i wire it normally?

for 1 box, the port is tuned to 45hz, and for the other box, the port is tuned to 35hz. there is no ss filter like i said. its only a switch.

Inverting usually has 2 reasons.

1.) Air space. If the sub is too big for it's enclosure, you can invert. Just reverse the polarity.

2.) For show reasons.

Yes you can invert in sealed enclosures.

the reason i ask is i just inverted my mtx 8000's....wired them normaly......is that ok?

p.s. i read sumwhere that u only need to worry about that is if u say: inverting 2 subs and having the 3rd non inverted..
