so what would it sound best in?

sealed .88 Cu Ft Air Space

ported 1.56 Cu Ft Air Space

sealed 1.25 Cu Ft Air Space

get more room if you want to port it...

otherwise I would do the 1.25 sealed...

if you want it loud, definitely go ported. i enjoy mine in 1.4 @ 36 even though the response is pretty peaky and my lows are a little lacking. tried it sealed, just wasn't what i was looking for.

Well the thing is that in the car I have (2002 honda civic si) its the hatch back.

I gave my brother my 300w jbl amp and the sealed 12w1v2. for what i want that is WAYY more then loud enough.

And he doesnt have his speakers amped so it worked perfectly.

i will have my speakers amped, and i need something more then the w1 to match the speakers (because I dont need all boom and no vocals ya know). so I figured a better sub like this sealed would be fine.

sealed should be fine then. if its not enough then down the road you could always give ported a shot.

I would go with 2.0 cubes NET volume (NET volume meaning, the internal volume AFTER all displacements)...

Tuned to 33hz. Give it ~30-50 square inches of port...

well I just planned on getting a cool looking obcon box, because i dont have all the tools to build a box. and school is going to be out soon so i cant use their woodshop.
