SSA Demon (10" & 12")

Took them out awhile back. Carpet between the box and speaker holes anyway. The rear 60/40 seat backs fold down so normally I lay down the 40 side to get sound to the cabin.
Well... it sure looks big in there, I'm glad you like the results.

It'll look better with some Duratex or carpet and since you feel it's a keeper I'd pretty it up

Glad it worked out Op.

I will listen to this one for a few and switch it out to the other and listen to that for a few and decide.

I just wish I had a garage. I try to avoid drawing attention so do my swapping after midnight.

Pic of carpet on ceiling, both seat backs down and the 40 split side down which I normally do so I can push it up and down quick if I'm making a stop somewhere. Having both down doesn't make much difference to these ears.

Decisions...decisions.

Don't know which box to go with.

Is the 3.28 @ 41.12 as extreme as it gets?

I know there has to be a point to where the sub loses control due to being in too large of a box.

Gonna keep the 3.28 @ 41.12

Filled all the screw holes ready for Duratex.

Thanks everyone for help especially Shredder2

Can I have a mod take this thread back to the OP Denim with his posts and replies and anything related to my crap be in it's own thread?

Last box is heavy as heck.

Now I'm building the back firing aero box out of 7 ply pine. Seems strong enough. A lot lighter and less dust.

The SDR-35 riser pipe is 5.75" internal, 6.25" external.

Don't care if it isn't as loud as the last one this is lighter and has less width so I have more room to remove my jackstand, jack, cables etc that are stored on the sides of the box.

Pics?

Try to flare the port entry and exit... it's probably overkill but I'd do it.

how do you calculate the tune on home made flared pvc ports?
I'd measure 1/2 front radius to 1/2 rear radius for length, as long as you're close the tuning change ought to be slight anyways if a roundover bit is used.

If actually flared it will change but only slightly and the same way of measuring length ought to apply.

The displacement changes using a small flare ought to be slight, using a roundover even less.

OP shouldn't worry... a 5.9id should be overkill anyways

It's actually 5.75" inner diameter 6.25" outer

I just got rid of the sharp edge so rounded it over some.

A flared port I believe you need to add an inch to the length?

My port is working fine.
