SSA DCON or Dayton Audio RSS315HO-44 FTW

Both are great choices, the Dayton would be the sealed choice, and the Dcon the small ported box choice. Both can go either way, but just pointing out the strengths of each.[/quote
ok so the dcon would probably have more output and the Dayton would probably be more accurate right?

Not really. They will both have strong output and have accurate music reproduction in their respective enclosures. Ported does not mean sloppy and loud, sealed does not mean quiet and accurate. What I was getting at is the Dcon has the advantage in ported enclosures, and the Dayton has the advantage in sealed. It is a win win, I prefer the Dcon for obvious reasons //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif, but you are going to end up with a great sub woofer either way, just need to decide if you want to really save as much space as possible or if you want to have the most output with-in your space available.

Denim is exactly right, but he is being a bit modest. As long you are ok with doing a properly designed ported enclosure and using the space they require the Dcon will likely have better output overall.

Both are great subs though.

although i must admit i listen to a lot of bass heavy hip hop more than i listen to live instrumentation and classical so im really looking for a happy medium of both although i realize i cant have both at the same time you have to give up some to get some i guess lol

does ssa stock the dcon or does it take 21 or more days to build it?
They are made to order in Las Vegas. The good news is our factory has really picked up the pace in the last couple of weeks and people are getting Dcon's in 13 business days or so, for example.
