Thinking of going a different route with my amps, so I throw these out there to see if anybody wants them!

Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500 and 4.500 (have 4.600 as well, not working, but can be added if wanted)

Has 0ga power/ground, even though site says 4ga. (Toolmaker inputs NOT included, sorry)

RUB4.500

Custom painted (boards removed, heaksinks stirpped/primed) metalcast blue with black end caps, also replaced/upgraded fans in the 1.2500 while it was open (2 fan model) old ones were getting noisy..

1.2500 and 4.500 in excellent used condition. 4.500 has one tiny nick in the paint.

The 4.600 turns on and within a minute or so goes into protect, with no RCAs or speakers connected. Just started doing this past few days.

Price:

$450 shipped for both the 2500 and 500, will add the 4.600 for $25 more (just to cover shipping)

Would also trade for 2 PPI 900.4s

Honestly, these particular amps aren't bad for the money.

Been running mine for over a year or so now and no problems. I did notice my big amp makes noise, as you stated, but goes away after a min or two. The noise is the fan(s) built in. I happen to have the 2 fan version amp. When the 2500.1 amps first came out, only 1 fan was used.

When you replaced the fans in the big amp, did it help out at all?

I swapped to ball bearing fans, so its a little quieter. And the new ones are slighter higher CFM (air movement) to help with cooling. I just did it because the original ones would make the noise for the first 30 secs or so at start up, being a bushing fan.
