im looking to get two amps that will do around 1500w at 1 ohm each for 2 fi q 12s. So im lookin at the soundstream rub1.1600d and the mb quart onx1.1500d. Ive heard good reviews for both, so im trying to see if anyone can shed some light on some reviews and info on these amps and whatever u got on some good amps, that do around 1500w at 1ohm and cost at most $250 each

and im looking to get very loud and still have good sq

thanks

Rubicon fo sho. Hell you could probably even get the 2500, after coupon codes at onlinecarstereo.com it costs like $280 shipped. Coupon code is SST1511 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

It depends on what you are using it for if its for comps stick with higher end if its for daily I would get a hifonics brz 1700. They are cea certified and if you have good power to it and it is setup right you will be very satisfied its a great amp for the price. I know someone running one at around .7 ohms before rise and all and it holds up nice.

why don't you just get amp that puts out more power especially since its not a lot of power. Didn't someone clamp the Rubicon and it did a lot less than rate?

What do u mean since it's not a lot of power? 3200watts is a fair amount of power if u ask me plus the 200 watts from the speaker amp, thats 3600 watts, im gonna have to seriously upgrade my electrical before i do all this, im just planning ahead

Will those amps strap safely under a 2ohm load? If not you have to gain match them after you run them separately. I would get a used SAZ2500d and call it a day.
I've got two DVC 2ohm subs, how can I wire them with what amp(s) to get 1500watts each? from what ive seen, i can only wire them to one amp at 2ohms at the lowest, but with 2 amps, i can wire each separately to the sub, idk anything about gain matching, but ill look into it for sure

Well you could wire them separately to each amp and get a 1ohm load but you would need to gain match to run them safely. Now that I know they are dual 2's I would actually get an SAZ2000D used and wire them to .5ohm. It would be cheaper and you wouldn't need to set up 2 amps.

how would u wire it to get a 0.5ohm load, and that amp says it is only 1 ohm stable, and ive been told that if i ran an amp like that at 0.5ohm it can be very bad for the amp

Run your subs in parallel (positive to positive and negative to negative) for a .5ohm final load. Those amps actually used to be warrantied down to .5ohm but most people were using them in competitions and jacob could no longer warranty them. They are perfectly fine to run at .5ohm daily where you will rarely ever drop down to .5ohm. They are still some people here that run them lower than that but only for burps.
