SS RL-p D2 12 off 500w @ 1ohm?

Would 500w be enough to get it going? I'm still trying to decide on my sub stage, but it is hard to find good matches for my amp. The 5600 puts out 500w @ 1ohm and I'm having a hard time finding a good SQ/SQL driver 10/12" for about 1 ft^3 sealed other than the IDQv3, OZ ME, RE SE, FI SSD. Obviously these are all decent choices, but I've heard positives and negatives on all of them. I want to be happy with what I get for a while.

Cliffnotes:

For $300 (I'd prefer $200 or under) or under, SQ/SQL, 1 Ft^3 sealed, 10/12", 500w @ 1ohm what would you get? I'm not opposed to used either.

i know you said sealed but with 500 watts on a rl-p id go with ported to get all the output from it that i could..unless your not really looking for something really loud just something with some bass and SQ..and not to say it wouldnt be right on 500 watts in a sealed..but i doubt it would be called sql..

Well that's why I said SQ/SQL. I really want to go ported, but I won't have the room. I've made a few threads over the last few months..I have a rear shock tower brace in my car that I want the box to fit behind. If I don't go this route, I am going to take the rear seats out and build an enclosure there with the sub in the cabin behind the passenger front seat and the amp behind the driver seat. And if I go with the rear seat enclosure route, I doubt I will have a need to go ported, as the amount of cabin space will be comparable to a single cab truck or small hatch like a Mini or something.

Yep, I've considered it. Do some drivers perform better with aeros/slots than others (and vice versa), or does it matter as long as the volume is correct and the port size is correct? I know if I put the box behind the brace, there is pretty much no way I can get it bigger than 1 ft^3, so a pair of 8s may fit the bill. If I do the rear seat install, by just eye-balling it, I'm thinking I could get 1.25 so 1 10 or 1 12 ported would be nice. But then again, with the box in the cabin right behind the seat, I don't see the need to go ported...see my dilemma!?! I'm not sure if I should make my decision on what sub to use first, or where to put it, since both spots will allow for a box about the same size, but in the cabin will be louder than in the trunk...

Hmm...just answered my own question about the two D4s wired to a 1 ohm load. Would 500w be enough to get 2 SS RL-i 8s going? I'm really leaning towards this route. Also leaning towards the in-cabin enclosure with aero ports...

OK I think I'm just going to go with 2 AA 8s until the RL-i's are back. Anyone have any experience with 2 AA Assassin 8's ported? I want to be able to switch them out for the RL-i's when they are back in stock, so the enclosure has to work for both. I'm thinking 1 ft^3 would be a good size. But what size aero ports?
