Well here is my story.

I had purchased a 16Ov.2 D4 for fairly cheap,

I also have aquired a 15 inch RL-P D4.

I have a New Orion 2400d and a 2003 Orion 1200d.

Both put out around the same power.

My question is, which should I go with. I will sell the other one.

I also have a blown 12 RL-P, and another 12 RL-P, I could swap the 15 for another 12, But then I would only want to run 1. Not sure what I really wanna go with. I want more SPL than SQ.

mike offered me the first RL-p 18 to ship out. Due to a problem with one of my subs. But I drive an Acura Integra. So I dunno bout that. And own an Orion 1200d, and The new Orion 2400, which both are 1200@1ohm. I have only ever ran 12s, and Have only really messed with one 15 setup ever, which was a close friends. 18 too much bass? too much room in my car? lol

Well im not ED bashing, but my brother and I have had problems with 6!!!! ed woofers. 2 12a's, 2 15ae's, 2 16ov2's, and a 16kv2, all go bad with less than rated power with the gains down, and ben was an ***, ended up paying over $750 all told and nothing to show for it, the RL-P is a great woofer, my brother has the tc 2000 15" which is very similar to the rlp.(tc sounds is the buildhouse for soundsplinter), and I have 2 tc2+ woofers. The SQ and Output are better than the ov.2, dont get me wrong the 16ov.2 sounds good, but doesent compare to the Rl-p/TC Sounds woofers. So I would say keep the rl-p, and sell ov.2 or keep it for your home audio, b/c in my opinion thats all they're good for

I'm really happy with my two 15'' rl-p's. So happy that im going to hopefully have four soon! I'd say keep the rl-p, but if you deciede you dont want it I would gladly buy it from you.

I have heard bad things about ED, but my experience has been good. However, you might want to know that the A's and the Ae's that your brother had problems with are made by the same company that makes the RL-P, (tc sounds). Anyway, i am sure they are all good, and like the other person said, just listen to them both and decide!

They are both BNIB. I dunno if i wanna run one, decreasing its value. I was thinking of selling both and getting something Like a kicker. But not so sure. Im guesing pretty soon, I'll have 2 rl-P 12s for sale, and 1 rl-p 15, and the ed 16Ov.2

Not sure really what I want, I want a 15, I want SPL. It will be keeping the rl-p 15, or findign a new sub. Any suggestions on a different 15? SPL. And this will be in a small enclosure, maybe 2.5cuf with a 35hz frequency. d4 or d2? d2 I could wire to 1200.... or d4 to 800.

eD 16ov.2 for sale. 200 OBO

you are insane.

try all 3 variants. and then tell us whats the best!

dont worry about loosing value on them, because you already opened the boxes. unless they are NIB - then they arent worth what you paid for...

so carefully mount them, and have a listen for a week. then change. and repeat.

i say, if a pair of 12" RLP's or a 15" rlp is not enough SPL in a little integra, off 1.2kw - then you must have cottonballs in your ears.

sigh. sqftmfw.

well i knew about the a's and ae's they had a design flaw, I'm talking about them not staying behind their products, they were quick to try and blame it on you, what is the point of the warranty if you dont honor it. I mean I liked the way the ov'2 and kv2 sounded. it was the extra that came with it, I want to know that if I have a problem, and its under warranty I wont be put through the ringer. TC sounds new line honestly are alot better than any ED product. IMO.
