Tuning frequency will be dependant upon vent area, enclosure size, and vent length.
If you have one vent already and you add another of the exact same dimensions, you will raise your tuning frequency due to great vent area and a decrease in enclosure size.
Not always. A decrease in vent size can cause vent noise. How about you tell us your current enclosure specs, driver, and power. Also, WHY do you want to lower the tune?
True yes, but he doesn't want to build another box and he cannot add to the port as of now I don't believe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
what if i installed my orion P12D4 in the 12'' h2.4 box. i fig it looked like somewhat of decent specs but im a noob so ????? lol plz help thx:veryhapp: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Different drivers altogether. For simplicity's sake, I'd go with the manufacturer's recommended enclosure of 2 cubes if possible. I'd definately add more vent area though and lower the tuning.
look i cant do that cause i really really dont want to take up my trunk so do u think that h2 box will still be louder and sound better than a reg. sealed enclosure?????
If you truly cannot use that box, there is no point in putting it in a different driver's enclosure. That's the entire purpose of building a custom box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
yeah i just got really bored to i made my own box specs just now lol. oh and i know this is a reall really dumb question but isnt the 3D rectangle formula =LxWxH??? i think it is not sure though lol any ways the height is 17in. length is 20in. and th width is 8in. the sub is 2in away from the right side and top and botom and im goin to have a 4in. circular port. not really sure how long yet though.
Have someone make a design for you, it would be better than just guessing with numbers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
no dude i got my box shape on a peice of paper and all the dimensions, how do i convert that to cu. ft though? and theres one more thing but it wont be that hard how much tubing i will need for the size of my box like 23inches im guestimating lol.
