true. but if enclosure size is a problem, seems like you can get away with a smaller enclosure with a round port.

round port- 22.5 x 14.5 x 16 3" round port 8.5" long (2cu @ 30hz)

square port- 30 x 23.5 x 13.5 " port (2cu @ 30hz)

well considering port length has nothing to do with the shape of the port...unless there is a flare on the end of the round port (the flare has a very small effect, primarily because it makes the effective port length a little shorter).

Port length is a function of port area and box size. Usually people think that they are saving space with "aero ports" over many slot port designs...they are, but most times they sacrafice port area. which isn't always a bad thing...so its up to you.
