SQL 1000w-1600wRMS amplifier?

Would prefer something that has good SQ, but still puts out over 1000wRMS or higher. Not looking to spend any more than $175 or so, so I'll have to do some hunting, but what would you guys suggest?

AQ1200 (little out of my price range)

DCA-2500

Audiopipe 15001d

MB Quart DSC1500.1

MA audio HK 2000

Planet Audio VX2200D

Sundown 1200

any others?

Elemental Designs 9.1, maybe a Kicker 1200.1. You're going to have to buy used if you want to stay in that price rang.

good luck finding a sundown for $175 lol

go with the 9.1 if u can find one for that cheap, its rated at 1200 at 12v

but if you can't, go with the mb quart or audiopipe

supposedly the audiopipe is too much for my optima yellow top and beefed up fuse etc. how will the mc quart dsc do at 12v?

I would prefer to get at least 1000wRMS @ 2 ohms @ 12v.

1 ohm loads are ok as long as they are seriously stable there and give me rated power at 12v.

most power ratings are measured at 14.4 volts

i realize that, and i think my electrical can charge at 14v no problem but I want to be safe and know that I am getting rated power.

I think you'll be able to find 1000 Watts RMS for 175.00 if you're open to various makes/models. You may even be able to find something older that offers big power for a better price.

Examples include Memphis, Crossfire, Lightning Audio Strike, Planet Audio, an older model Hifonics, etc....

bump
