SQ vs SPL

i like SQ bass. But speaker placment, EQ ect. im not to fond of.

One thing i dont like about my 15's it that they dont have that punchy bass that i like.

No More SPL enclosures. Sealed is good enough.

If I turn up my h/u all i hear is BASS. I cant even hear the treble

SPL is for children.

SQ takes time and talent. It is for mature, intelligent, obsessive, folk.

SPL takes a hillbilly, a wall socket, a subwoofer, and a wet noodle.

I get a good laugh from your perception that having a competitive SPL vehicle doesnt take just as much dedication and talent as an SQ vehicle.

IDK, but everytime Ive seen a serious competitor for SQ at a show, they didnt even do the install. I cant make generalizations about every SQ competitor, but Im going to go out on a limb and say that people hitting in the 150 range in Street A but just as much time, effort, and "talent" into their installs as any person taking hours to get the imaging in their kick panels just right, ect.

Ive never been as floored as much as when me and Brad aka. Moe Lester sat in a JBL sponsored QX4 at a show. I loved it, but I get more enjoyment from SPL.

^^^hate? no....having a lil' fun? yes- I cant front, 10 yrs ago I came into this game loving SPL....I just grew out of it over time, opened my ears to different types of music, and developed a liking for the details and intricacies of different instruments and how they collaborate together in music....so the search for ideal music reproduction and staging inside a vehicle became more challenging

It also depends on the music you listen to.

i wont need the best audio components because i dont need it to be accurate.

If i listened to acustical music i would notice it.

Its a fact that there are much more details to pay attention to in a SQ install then there are in an SPL install.

Well, I did my own install and all my friends did their own install, I can't speak for every SQ install but I installed mine without any professional help.
