YEA..SQL is what it's about..The way I see it (and I know I will get shit for this)

"YOU CAN GET SPL FROM AN SQ SET UP, BUT YOU RARELY GET SQ FROM AN SPL SET UP"

But As is true with Everything on this forum..Everyone has diffrent tastes..Sometimes A loud system is what people think is "Quality Sound" and vice versa..A nice sounding low SPL sytem may not sound good to a SPL fanatic"

Cliche or not..a good system Is all in the ear of the beholder!!!!

I am totally into sq. So far, everybody into spl who hears my car says "i want my car to sound like this."

SQ all the way I love music, any music that requires talent, SPL, Id rather cut my foreskin with rusty scissors, bass gets very annoying

HELL YEA...I mean I Love Bass, and I bet I have a bigger collection of Hip Hop than anyone on here..But a Bass only system is overzealous.

About a year ago I posted a comment that at the time got alot of other members angry at me. But the Most ignorant and stupidist thing I ever see someone do with thier stereo is when these guys invest $2000 into amps and subs but keep the stock speakers..THAT IS STUPID! and it totally indicates someone who isn't into music, just attention.Atleast buy a pair of $50 aftermarket replacements.

Sure..Some Stock setups are nice these days..but add a single 10" if your not going to atleast upgrade the mids and highs..The statement "My stock speakers are okay" coming from a guy with a 1500BD and 2 W6JL's makes me laugh hysterically!!!

I have only seen maybe 2 or 3 stock speakers that have impressed me, car companies dont care about tonal quality usually, they just care about their cheaply made Audiolatina speakers, as long as the speakers make sound, are cheap and dont cause warranty problems the car companies are happy

I don't get the point of SPL. I mean you can be plenty loud and still have the music sound good. Why would you want to be loud but sound like crap? Should be called SCL-Sound Crap Level. I don't understand why you would ever take volume over quality. Makes no sense. But hey, to each his/her own.

Man I hear you on that. So many people who want to upgrade their system focus on the subwoofers first. That just makes no sense. That is not upgrading your system. It's upgrading your bass. I'm confused on why people only hear a fraction of the entire sound frequency spectrum. It's like being "frequency blind".

I actually Read a "Shocking" article in a Auto Enthusiast Magazine about a year ago.....I always thought it was a joke or urban legend..But it is a proven Economic statistic that it costs major Automobile Manufacturers between 3-5 "cents" to make a speaker for the highest end stock systems...WOW!!!

And that the CHEAPEST aftermarket Speakers on the market (legit market) are considered "Major speaker upgrades" over stock!
