first off...is the alpine type X a good SQ/SPL sub or is it just SPL

secondly...can i get some input on what you guys think are good SQ subs that still have some hard bump in them....subs between 200 and 300 dollars...lookin for single 10" or 12"

 
its mostly for SQ but i have heard a few ppl say they were useing em' in some SPL set ups...i like mine but im gonna let it go.. hit me up if you wanna work some thing out for it

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.
