SQ HDS3 15" good choice for my amp?

From experience, I can tell you right now that 1200W do not do that sub justice and you will be left unsatisfied. I would put that sub on an 1800W amp to truly make it come alive. If you don't have the budget for that now, I recommend sticking with your current setup until you can upgrade both.

There has to be something that will be louder than kickers for this amp....right???

I think you may be misunderstanding loudness. Keep in mind that adding more power to your system is the least efficient way to make your system louder. Also, switching brands of subs will hardly make anything louder. It may sound better or worse, but nothing significantly louder. When dealing with woofers, you have to look at their sensitivity numbers. A woofer with sensitivity of 85db has low sensitivity. 95db is pretty high sensitivity. This means the 2nd woofer will be louder with the same power. Here are some other ways to make your system louder without adding power:

1. Having a ported box. Ported boxes are more efficient than sealed.

2. Tuning your port to around 45Hz will make it louder as well, though not very pleasing when listening to music.

3. Putting your seat down.

If you are set on swapping woofers, find some that have high sensitivity. CVRs are 86.9db. My friend has a pair of CVRs from like 2006 on a 600W orion amp and it's plenty loud.

If you're not happy with your current setup, changing woofer won't make you happy. Perhaps start from scratch and do it right so you are happy in the end.

I have my hds3 on 1200 from an sq1200 and she getting plenty of power. Do a proper box for it and you will be happy
