Spray on bed liner for deadener?

the spray on undercoating i use from duplicolor worked great on my wheel wells and as well has the back panel of my trunk, it hardened up nicely and filled the gaps i couldn't get otherwise...spectrum spray is good, but it has its weaknesses, in my application at least, i ended up putting a lot of it on before i noticed it working...so if you put it on thick, it works great...

Adding mass to a resonating panel is a terribly inefficient way to treat vibrations.

Go find a truck with a bed liner spray in it and tap on the sheet metal. It will still resonate.

Your best bet is to go with a product that is specifically designed to kill vibrations.

There are a few great dampers out there that are elastomeric.

They will reduce vibrations in 2 ways

1. adding mass lowers the resonant frequency of the metal, making it less audible tot he human ear.

2. Elastomers convert the vibrations in to barely detectable heat. This conversion of energy can be nearly 10 times more efficient than simply adding mass.

Hope that makes sense.

I know I'll get flamed but eD makes a decent roll on deadener that has show much more success than the mat that they make. It also comes in that cool as blue color. It also comes at a pretty decent price.
