yeah, no big deal........ Be careful w/this thing. I bet you can find all the stuff they're giving your friend at "cost" on ebay for less. If it were really a big deal for the shop to do this you wouldn't be asking for advice on an interet forum. They'd be telling you what the best route is.

I'd go with either Cadence or Lanzar Optidrive for amps, Pioneer for the source unit, Cadence or Pioneer for subs and Pioneer or Cadence for speakers.

I dunno. I know the older Pioneer Rev comps were pretty nice sounding....better than my BA Pro's. I guess I was assuming that the current Rev offerings were up to the same standard.

Not Zed Audio anymore.....but still good stuff. People sometimes overlook Lanzar for how good they really are. Not bad amps at all.....even the lower end stuff will do rated power or very close there to at reasonable THD levels.
