SPL with rl-p/type r/sx/dd 3512/treo tsx/ssi

Right now i have an rl-p in 1.5cf ported at 35hz and an orion 600d, but im wanting more spl, i have 3.5cubes net so i guess about 3cubeds after displacement, and im wanting to get a 9.1 sometime. how much of increase would a new sub have over the rlp or should i build a new box for the rlp l

wit ya power, the R would be best. all the others would require more power, and still the R will juss keep gettin louder. i kno the R was .1 louder than my buds 9512s in the same vehicle and same power. Rs were louder at lower note as usual

well i found a guy on ebay thats an RE/treo/DD dealer but then i remember the type r and the price lol

well the 3512 is out i just found out its $419, the tsx and 2512 is 229

honestly build a new box before you spend a bunch of money on a new sub,

 

try the RL-p in a 2.0 or more, I would go to the SoundSplinter forum over at http://www.teamssaudio.com and talk to mike directly and see what he says

yeh ive been thinkin about porting a box i already have thats sealed right now with 4inch pvc pipe then i might build a new one with a slot port

I am in the same boat. I want some more spl and I have the type r's sealed at 1.75cft. I think I am gonna build a ported box as well for them. We will see. Good luck!

yeh i tried my rl-p sealed in 1.5 then i ported the box

port that rl-p. i ran my 2 12's at 39 hz. daily because i only listen to rap and the spl was amazing and still very good sq ven at the high tunning.

curious, what did you hit?

i managed a 137 dB on the termlab with only 300 watts going to my 15 rlp in a 2.0 sealed box. try a different box design first imo.

oh nvm the guy isnt a dealeri thought he was since he had all those auctions, but i asked him to make sure since someone asked and he said that he wasnt.
