SPL vs Freq Graph

What does this graph tell me about the speakers? Good graph? Can anyone explain the graph.

Not much. When you put the actual speakers in your car the whole thing will change. It doesn't seem that flat of response to begin with. You want it to be perfectly flat once the speakers are in your car. Impossible, but something to aim for.

the flatter the graph, the more accurate the reproduction/better sq. if it peaks big time on the right, means your highs will be LOUD, on the left, bass will be loud

Not to mention placing the sub in an enclosure, or a different enclosure, will completely change the results of that graph.

In general it results in better SQ, but I don't think always. What if the speaker is playing all the right frequencies but is off on the pitches. Is that possible?

Which brings me to my next point that no amount of graphs or numbers can tell you what exactly what a speaker sounds like. They can help, but you have to hear it in person.

I agree the sound changes when installed sub added and all. But these graphs are at the least a good starting point I would think. At least you know if the speaker is excellent good or crap before installing it.

Are these the kinds of tests they run at competitions?

They could, if you had all the necessary measurements and appropriately interpreted them.
