Hey everyone, I found a great video of some unbiased testing done by a guy from MN that I've talked to a couple times, anyways I noticed the video doesnt have many views and I found it very informative. A budget sub vs. a BTL and some impressive TL numbers. Check out the video....



Summary 1500-2000 watts btl: 148 db's sa-12: 147.2 db's

same enclosure also 145's on music. Tuned for daily setup...

I've found a few budget subs that can get real loud, the problem is every one of them are unreliable at the given high wattage.

Nice vid, only thing better about the btl is it could probably take close to 5k on a burp.

For a relatively affordable driver the SA series does handle quite a bit of power -- but not as much as a huge 3" coil beast like the BTL.

I'd like to see the results if the SA was in 1.7 and the BTL in 2.7...would be MUCH more accurate, and I'm sure the SA would be much closer, with a box that builds more pressure...

He's pushing the SA12 to its near max, the BTL is just doing what it can daily. It's still pretty impressive for the price difference if you are doing a budget build for burps. And his scores were overall super impressive, 148.0 for a single 12 in a trunk?! holy crap!?
