im looking for the best SPL sub that i can get. i want to run them with a directed 1500d or a viper 1200.1 and i cannot spend over $600 on the subs

I mean for that price some solobarics in a high tuned ported box (35-40hz) would be pretty dam loud with 1200 watts.. Just get DVC 4 ohm ones and wire them together for a final of 1 ohm. Get a box designed correctly and they would hit hard. 12s would be coo. Other subs that I could think about are the RE audio SXs, IA LIs or DPs.

go one MOFO 12" and it will take the amp all day, you will also save a lot of money

yup, my sub is taking a 1800 watt beating even though it's recommended for 1200 god i love the heat sinks on this sub!

yeah, the heat sink is a nice feature, it is taking 1200 watts RMS all day
