I'm looking to replace my current sub with something louder, what's the cheapest, best SPL sub out there that takes around 460 RMS, is 12 inches, and goes well in a 35 hz ported box?

That's probably a laughable question, but yeah. I was looking at the RE SR 12 and the Audioque SD212, any suggestions?

a JL 12W3, I don't have any idea of what it metered, because my buying it was the third time it changed hands because the second kid didnt even use it.

I'm thinking it'll hit pretty hard (waiting on a new HU to install it) but I really want something that'll go BOOM because theres rich kids all around here that have daddy buy them Sony Xplods and whatnot.

get a ssd and 800w
I wish I could but I don't have the money :X

I have a friend who says he'll hook me up with his Infinity 600 RMS reference amp, but I think its 600 peak, which doesnt mean shit to me... did Infinity make a 600 RMS bridged amp? I don't know what ohms it bridges at either..

But yeah so now its between 460 or 600w, if that extra 140 watts will make it bang that much harder.

ok, so now it looks like its between the CVR and the Audioque... I kinda want AQ because I wanna support them, but if the kicker is that much better, I'll just go with it... will 60 more RMS than it says its rated for really kill it that much?

CVR 12 in bout 2 Cubes Ported be good on that power

EDIT: I ran 1 12 Cvr in a Probox ported bout a year and a half ago on 625rms (watched the gain) and it got pretty loud.

You won't notice a difference between 460 and 600w (Both true RMS) for daily.

If you're trying to compete, then the more power the better.

its good to support. Do what you want really man, never heard the sd but i know the cvr got decently loud for what i payed for it in my trunk.
but yea support AQ if you can man. I jus did ^.^
I'm kinda sketch about the AQ even though I've heard they're comparable to DD's subs.. but I haven't found like any info at all on the sd212. And since the CVR seems like the way to go, I might just pick one of those up.

I don't wanna go all out on my first sub purchase, so I'm tryin to go budget in case I don't like it as much as I thought I would. I've been tryin to read up on all of this stuff too so I'll be better off when I decide to wall off a car and put 4 18 BTL's in it haha

get a l7 buy one of mine ill do 150 shipped for one of my l7 lmk

My only problem with th L7 is it's square and my box is round, and I don't wanna buy a new box. That and isnt the wattage like 1k rms or so?
