spl question

i am looking for a subwoofer(s) that will give me good sq and spl for under $200 but i am not having much luck. right now i am leaning toward an adire tempest. the question i have is if i get a really good spl woofer and replace my speakers in my car and run them off an amp should it sound pretty good? i am new to car audio and i dont know this. i know that i want something that will hit hard but i do not want it to sound distorted. what would you recommend? thanks

you want an SQL sub for ~200$?

well the tempests are on back order along with every other sub adire owns. also look into a pair of RE SE's or Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections, maybe even a pair of shiva's if you can shell out an extra $50. Both subs are known to get pretty loud and take every bit of 600rms they are rated at. both can be had for under 200$
