If you're talking about which is just plain more fun...SPL...

If you're talking about for the most enjoyable actual daily driving experience...SQ...

I use two boxes...one for SPL comps and one for daily driving....

Mix, I swing both ways...well...that sounds queer so I'll just say I like a combo of SQPL.

Great SQ, IMHO, is a far more difficult goal to achieve, which is the main reason it is my choice.

i used to be purely SPL but that was before i had heard any good sounding speaker's so i'm like 80 SPL and 20SQ. i love really loud bass but also love gain nobs so i can turn down the bass and have great highs.

best car sub i ever heard was a veledyne servo controled sub...

best i owned was image dynamics idw 15's in a 9-11 cft box (depending on what i put in or took out but my L5's are gettin close to the low i want they just dont have the mb snap i liked

sounds like the brahmas are at top of almost everybodys list of subs of choice, as far as spl AND sq, so my question is how much do they cost and what size amp is adequate to push one of these babies?
