SPL Meters

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone here has tried downloading any of the spl meter apps out there today for the smart phones. I myself seriously doubt their capabilties of being an accurate spl measuring instrument, just curious if anyone has tried them and how well/bad they work? If there is an app out there that is somewhat accurate I'd consider getting it.

i tried one for my droid x. and it said i did 135db listening to the tv. but then it was 90db listening to the stereo in the car. worthless. dont even waste the time downloading it
