SPL loudness question.

Would two Alpine Type-R fifteens be louder than a Rockford T210? Because I got to hear a T210 the other day and that **** was slappin' hard. I just wanted to know if two Type-R fifteens (optimal conditions met) would be louder because that single T2 was good enough for me.

probably because of the cone area. but it depends on a lot of stuff such as vehicle, power, box, box placement...

Should be. They would have almost 5 times the cone area.

Well, the RMS wattage of the two Type-Rs is 750ea. And I think that RMS of the T2 is 1000. But I'm not sure. I mean, with that single ten, it was hard to breathe. I would love it if my fifteens turned out to be louder.

Lol, I couldn't imagine a different hobby. I don't know much yet, but my ex-girlfriend broke up with me because she thought I loved car audio more than I loved her. And in a way, I did. Lol.

Yea, I drive a Ford Explorer. I just need a 6.0^3 box at 34hz. I tried to design one on the RE box designer but it was horrid.

two type-R's in "optimal" conditions will have absolutely no comparison to that. At all.

You got the design for that box? And is it too big? The recommended enclosure space is 3.0^3 for each sub. Will making it 2^3 bigger do any harm?
