Spl ideas

so im a sq guy, however being jobless i cannot afford to finish my car to the likings that would make me happy, so i figured why not try out a little spl.

The car is a 00 integra, pretty easy to get loud

i figure i have 6-8 cubes to work with and dont wanna go over 2000w for the substage, however i would still like some sq

i was thinking 2 15" type rs

jobless and buying SPL stuff????? wow i have a job and i cant afford the spl stuff i want!

check out Fi bl or btl, IDMAX, RE. all those get loud and have good SQ. the type Rs dont have very good sq (from what ive read here) but they are cheap and get loud.

yea the way i see it all i need are amps and subs so it wont cost me that much, to finish my car i need over 4k in shit not something i wanna spend with no income coming in

as for budget i would say $1000 for amps and subs

btw my idmax i currently have is not enough for me

well with 8 cubes to play with u can prob do 1 18 ported. or 2 15s, but it might be pushing it for the 15s.

You got tons of options with 1k. AQ2200D for the amp maybe? those will run u 389 a piece plus shipping brand new.

RD Sonance is still the best sounding sub I've ever heard.

Two 15" Sonances ported in that car off a 2200D or similar = ***.

You don't need 2 15s or 1 18 to get loud in an Integra. A single 15 or two 12s is all you should need. I'm running one 12 with under 1kw and in an enclosure I designed specifically for sound quality and it can get louder than I would ever need if I push it. I also drive a 99 Integra hatch.

Seth on here is doing about a 146 with 2 mid-level 12's on 2kw (Fi SSD's i think)

ive had spl before, had a 13w7 doing upper 140s and i kinda miss it, im looking for something very similar to my w7, if all else fails ill just put my w7 back in im just wanting to try something new

You are complaining you are jobless and dont have the money to complete your (presumably) SQ system, but state you have an IDMax and W7 sitting around the house?

Get a job? Sell the stuff you aren't even using? Use that income to build what you really want? Just a thought.

yea i could do that but im taking 21 hours at school to catch up so i kinda planed on living jobless, and i would love to buy everything i need for my sq system but then i would not be able to make it to the end of the semster with no income.

Im thinking of selling my velodyne and using the w7 for ht use so that wont work and the idmax is part of my sq system i just need another and another pdx1000 for my wannabe IB setup among a few other things

Well as good as IDMax's are, id chose a Velodyne over one for SQ any day. Or... is your the home version only?

A single IDMax should be sufficient to keep up with a true SQ system, even when running IB. Sounds to me more like you want SQL than you do true SQ.

Either way, if you chose to keep the W7, or the Velo... sell the other and buy that second IDMax. I dont understand how you have $1000 to spend on SPL subs and amp, AND have a spare W7 or Velodyne sitting around, but cant afford to buy your second IDMax setup?
