SPL GLW-12 vs Rockford Fosgate P2D4-12

I have an MTX 1501D (Thunder). Puts out 1500W. It's black friday, I need answers fast!

Rockford Fosgates P2D4-12 for $84 each and a 3-year warranty for $25 each.

Specs:

800W, 4-Ohm, 400RMS

(Rockford is generally honest about their ratings)

vs

SPL GLW-12 $84.00 each

2500 watts

1200 RMS, 2-Ohm

I am not familiar with SPL at all and am skeptical they put out that much power, as they are cheaper than the fosgates. Do you guys trust this brand? Are they worth purchasing?

NOTE: I AM ON A BUDGET. I CAN NOT AFFORD SUPER EXPENSIVE SUBS. $90 each is the highest I can do. (I will also accept suggestions)

Do you find their ratings to be accurate? Seems most companies are not accurate about them.

the spls are ok, overrated on ratings, but decent subs. a pair would be ok on 1200-1400w. I found them for about $150 a pair too.

Well my amp puts out about 1500 watts, do you think the JPL's would work? I feel comfortable with the fosgates, but if I can get a pair for 150 and they are reliable subs that would be great. I do not need earth shattering bass, I have small nissan maxima. I just need reliable subs that will last

i think they will be fine, i got to play with a pair of the 15s and they slammed and sounded pretty good. just dont abuse them

The Fosgates are complete junk. The SPLs are owned by boss or something.

Soundqubed all the way on that budget. I almost bought a couple P3s and I was super glad I didn't after hearing them.

I have no idea why anyone would by a fosgate sub these days. The amps I do understand because the marketing is good.

If you want reliable subs, first thing you gotta look for is the voice coil, you want a coil strong enough to handle whatever power you can throw at it. Your two choices have short and weak coils, easily blowable. Like others said, Get soundqubed HDS200s they are on black friday sales today, cant get a better sub then those. You'll need a well designed ported box though. Cant have any premade junk or any sealed boxes.
