SPL differences?

I have actually tested a single 8, a single 10 and a single 12 in the same car and same amp and same load. BUT... the "boxes" were different and the subs were different.
But just for informational purposes...

8" - 150.3... Atomic Apocalypse 8 (5 gallon "bass bucket")

10" - 151.5... Cadence 10 (sw2?) (tube)

12 - 152.5... Tantric MD12 (burp box)

I have done 153.xx with a single Tantric HD 10, but it's a little unfair to compare it to the other subs since it's got more ass and was at .5 nominal.

So, you can see that even though they were very different boxes, all at the same nominal load and ~ the same power, the cone area really makes a difference.

Don't confuse this sort of thing with anything even resembling music.... just saying when you see these numbers that's not like someone is driving down the block playing tunes on that.

Nice lookin. A buddy of mine wants another one of those in the worst way. Ge had one with a couple twelves in it back in the day iirc.
